DERMAL LIP FILLERS

What are Lip Fillers?

Lip fillers are the perfect way to add extra volume and plumpness to lips which may be lacking in shape or elasticity.  At Top Academy Aesthetics Ltd Burton On Trent, we use a selection of leading Dermal Fillers for our clients.

Along with lines and wrinkles being a sign of ageing, lips lose volume, fullness and shape as we age. As we age, our skin loses collagen and lacks elastin, which can cause lines and wrinkles around the lips and ‘saggy’ looking lips.

Non-surgical lip augmentation involves injecting hyaluronic acid dermal filler into the lips to hydrate, enhance and plump the lips again.

Lip enhancement is not only for aged lips, it is a popular treatment worldwide for statement pouts. By using dermal filler, we are able to alter the shape of the lips, add definition to the vermillion border and cupids bow and plump to desired size.

Lip fillers deliver almost immediate results (within 48 hours). A medically developed semi-permanent solution is injected into the lips to enhance their natural shape and plumpness. This type of filler is based on hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring sugar found in the body, and has been purposely designed to make sure that you will have a natural look whether you are laughing or smiling.

We only use FDA approved dermal fillers which are hyaluronic acid based & non-permanent. Hyaluronic acid is a substance which is naturally produced by the human body, over time our body dissolves this and it is broken down. Dermal fillers will usually last 6-12 months before breaking down and you require another treatment or top up.

We use a wide range of dermal fillers, and will use the most suitable for desired look, facial anatomy and current lip structure.
